Abdullah bin Zayed receives Turkish Foreign Minister in Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, at the Ministry's General Office in Abu Dhabi.
His Highness welcomed the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressing the keenness to develop and strengthen cooperation relations between the UAE and Turkey in various fields, with the support and care of the leaderships of the two countries.
After that, His Highness and Mevlut Cavusoglu held a session of talks over a working lunch at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, during which they discussed bilateral relations and joint Emirati-Turkish cooperation paths and ways to enhance it to serve the interests of the two countries and benefit their peoples.
The two sides reviewed the outcomes of the state visit recently paid by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey to the UAE, and the announcement of cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding and protocols between several parties in the UAE and their counterparts in Turkey with the aim of strengthening cooperation and expanding partnerships between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on the situation in the region and regional and international developments, including developments on the Ukrainian arena and the importance of strengthening efforts to reach a political solution to the crisis.
His Highness and Mevlut Cavusoglu reviewed the participation of the Republic of Turkey in Expo 2020 Dubai and its role as an important platform to crystallize fruitful partnerships between the participating countries, enhance international cooperation and advance development prospects in societies.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, attended part of the work of the 16th Forum of Ambassadors and Heads of UAE Representative Missions Abroad, which started today in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of Mevlut Cavusoglu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, where he delivered a speech under the title Emirati-Turkish Relations.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Ali Mohammed Al Sayegh, Minister of State, and Saeed Thani Hareb Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey.
