This afternoon, a Boeing 737 airliner belonging to China Eastern Airlines crashed in Teng County, Wuzhou, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China.



There were 132 people on board, including the crew.

The plane was scheduled to depart from Changshui Airport in Kunming, Yunnan, China at 1:15 pm local time and arrive at Baiyun Airport in Guangzhou City, Guangdong, at 3:00 pm.



However, at about 2:20 pm, contact was suddenly lost and he disappeared, citing a flight tracking site, Chinese media reported that the plane's speed suddenly dropped and it appeared to be descending.



As a result of the fall, there was also a forest fire at the site.



Immediately after the accident, ambulances and firefighters rushed to the scene, but the exact situation of casualties is not yet known. 



The Korean Consulate General in Guangzhou is checking whether Koreans are on board the airliner.



It is known that the passenger plane in the accident was acquired by Eastern Airlines from Boeing in 2015 and has been operating for 6 years and 8 months.
