A violent explosion.

An explosion occurred this Monday noon in Lyon on the site of a future student residence, while the firefighters, called for a fire, were in full intervention.

Workers were doing insulation work on the roof when heavy black smoke, visible from afar, escaped.

Under the effect of the flames and the heat, a gas cylinder then exploded.

According to the

Lyon Mag

website , a badly extinguished blowtorch, which would have been left on the spot during the lunch break, could be the cause of the disaster.

No injuries are to be deplored with the exception of three firefighters suffering from tinnitus caused by the explosion of the gas cylinder.
