Following the labor law shortcomings that were discovered at the end of last year at Northvolt's facility in Skellefteå, the company is now starting a national collaboration with the trade union Byggnads.

The purpose is to limit the number of subcontractors who are engaged at the construction sites where the company operates, including in Borlänge.

- I think it is important that major players take the lead and show that this is possible, says Minister of Housing Johan Danielsson who was also present in Kvarnsveden.

During a visit to Kvarnsveden in Borlänge, Northvolt's responsible for social issues Anders Thor told about the background and the new collaboration.

- We thought that if the agreement requires subcontractors to follow the law that it would be enough, obviously that was not the case, we have learned the hard way, says Anders Thor, responsible for social issues at Northvolt.

In the clip, Anders Thor develops what the agreement is about and Byggnad's union chairman comments on the collaboration.
