Ex-British army chief: World War III cannot be ruled out

A former British army chief has declared that he cannot rule out the conflict in Ukraine sparking a third world war.

"The Russian invasion of Ukraine has put the world in uncharted territory," said General Mike Jackson, the chief of the general staff and former commander of the British army, according to the British news agency BA Media.

Mike, who led the military during the 2003 Iraq war, noted that Moscow's actions meant that the risk of nuclear proliferation had increased.

After the start of his forces' attack on Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the Russian strategic deterrence force, a force that includes a nuclear component, was put on alert, accusing the West of taking "aggressive" positions towards his country, while NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg expressed His deep concern about Putin's decision.
