The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services succeeded in entering the Guinness Book of Records for its two initiatives, "Super Responder" as the fastest ambulance in the world, and "Land Ambulance Bus" as the largest mountain road ambulance, used to respond on roads and off-road places.
The certificates were received by the Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Khalifa Al-Drai, in the presence of the regional director of "Guinness World Records" in the Middle East and North Africa, Talal Omar.
Al-Dari stressed that the Foundation will not stop developing its ambulance services and offering community initiatives, in order to achieve the safety of society, and meet the aspirations of the government to achieve global leadership in all fields, and for Dubai to be the best city to live in the world.
He added that Dubai is a global inspiration model in managing the drivers of change and sustainable development, and that human welfare, safety and life are the highest priority in the emirate's approach, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, thought of promoting innovation.
Al-Dari stated that the Foundation succeeded in setting two new world records, which enhance Dubai's records, and raise the ceiling of competition in the field of emergency medicine worldwide.
The delegation that visited the Foundation was briefed on the best practices and specialized services provided by the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services to customers and society in general, and the Foundation’s role in facing crises, especially the “Covid-19” crisis, and how the Foundation deals with it professionally, through its human cadres, and the equipment of its fleet. And its various distinguished services, in addition to the systems, electronic programs and smart applications that have been developed by the institution, and the innovations that are commensurate with the conditions of the pandemic.
It is worth noting that the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services achieved the Guinness World Records title for the first time in 2018, for the largest awareness lecture for first aid in sports stadium injuries, and also achieved another title for the longest ambulance bus in the world.
The “Super Responder” is the most expensive ambulance in the world launched by the Foundation at the headquarters of “Expo 2020 Dubai”, and it is an Emirati car of the “Liken Hyper Sport” model, produced by Dubai-based W Motors, at a cost of 13 million dirhams. It is characterized by the highest levels of luxury.
It is also the largest bus in the world for land and mountain ambulances in the world, which was won by the Foundation, a local manufacture in cooperation with NAFFCO, using the latest interior and exterior design technologies, with environmentally friendly, anti-rust materials that prevent bacteria from forming, and taking into account the design to be easy to clean and sterilize, In addition to its work with the solar energy system used to charge medical equipment, and it was equipped with the latest medical equipment, and the selection of interior colors to give psychological comfort to the injured, and taking into account that the interior lighting should be controllable, in proportion to the patient’s condition, and given that it is dedicated to land missions, it was provided with a strong and effective air conditioning system It is suitable for hot climatic conditions, and provides a cool and comfortable indoor atmosphere.
