Russia's President Vladimir Putin said in a telephone meeting with Turkey's President Erdogan on the 17th that he was willing to meet directly with Ukrainian President Zelensky after reiterating the conditions for a ceasefire. A senior official of the Cheong Wa Dae revealed.

The official from the Turkish presidential office said he had heard the exchange of telephone talks and responded to an interview with the BBC, a public broadcaster in the United Kingdom.



According to it, President Putin said that as a condition for a ceasefire, "neutralization" including the fact that Ukraine does not join NATO = North Atlantic Treaty Organization and "demilitarization" to remove weapons that threaten Russia. And so on.



He also said that the approval of Southern Crimea, which was annexed unilaterally eight years ago, and the independence approval of the eastern region, which is virtually controlled by pro-Russian militants, are also conditions.



On top of that, he was eager to meet with Ukrainian President Zelensky.



Meanwhile, the Turkish Presidential Office said in the telephone talks that President Erdogan proposed to President Putin to hold talks with President Zelensky in Turkey's largest city, Istanbul and the capital, Ankara.
