Residents of a Caribbean village reject "British colonialism" and expel Prince William and his wife!

The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, have been forced to reschedule their tour of the Caribbean, after protests by indigenous peoples in a British-colonial village.

The couple had been scheduled to start their royal visit to Belize with a trip to a sustainable cocoa farm, but the villagers in the village of "Indian Creek" organized a demonstration to protest William and Kate's visit, prompting Kensington Palace to cancel the visit.

Villagers refusing to visit the couple raised banners describing what they are doing as "colonialism" and "a slap in the face," while others wrote, "We do not welcome William on our land," and "the colonial legacy continues with the prince," asserting their ownership of the lands of "Indian Creek" in which he lives. Nearly a thousand people.

The origin of the dispute stems from a dispute between the village and Fauna & Flora International, a charitable foundation that owns a disputed property in Indian Creek, and Prince William has been a sponsor of this foundation since 2020.

The villagers of "Indian Creek" fought a legal battle over the land they lost during the British colonial era of the area, an area of 1,200 acres, the British newspaper "Daily Mail" reported.

According to village mayor Sebastian Schul, he was not consulted about the visit, which prompted the residents to stage a protest with the main slogan "We do not want you to set foot on our land."

Scholl considered that the manner in which the visit was handled recalled the era of "colonialism", and the practices and behaviors that accompanied it.

According to "Sky News Arabia," Scholl explained that the village's problem is with the "Funa and Flora International" Foundation, but the residents believe that William bears the responsibility as its sponsor.

There was no immediate comment from Kensington Palace on the incident, but aides confirmed that the visit had been canceled and that the couple would make alternative arrangements.
