President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol listens to explanations as he tours the Ministry of National Defense with Defense Minister Seo Wook.

In order to determine the location of the 'relocation of the president's office', which is a key promise, he visited the candidate sites of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct a direct survey.

President-elect Yoon toured the site for two hours and heard briefings from each department about the building structure and surrounding environment.

Kim Eun-hye, spokeswoman for the elected president, said, "We checked which candidate site is the best for public communication and national security," she explained.

Initially, a quick decision was expected to complete the construction before taking office on May 10, but as objections such as relocation costs, security, and regional development restrictions arose, prudence is emerging within the transition committee.

A key official of the transition committee said, "No matter how good the purpose is, it cannot be without the public's consensus."

Kim Ki-hyeon, floor leader of the People's Power, who accompanied the expedition, also wrote on SNS, "I will look more closely and draw a conclusion after more careful consideration."

At 11 a.m. tomorrow, President-elect Yoon will hold his first press conference, and it seems that he will reveal his position in some way about whether and where the President's Office has been relocated.

In the midst of this, working-level discussions for the meeting between President Moon Jae-in and President-elect Yoon are scheduled to resume.

A key official from Yoon-elect's side said, "Cheol-hee Lee, senior presidential secretary for political affairs, and Jang Je-won, chief of staff of the president-elect Yoon, decided to meet the day after day to discuss working-level."

As President Moon suggested an unconditional meeting and President-elect Yoon responded, it is likely that a meeting between President Moon and President-elect Yoon will take place early next week when working-level discussions are concluded.
