For the past two weeks, Vitalina Dubovyk has been calling and texting the family several times each day, but she has been met with silence.

At the same time, there have been reports of bombed hospitals, and of civilians trapped in a shelter under the city's theater when it was bombed.

Now she is very relieved to hear that the family is well, but the anxiety continues to gnaw.

- They want to get out of the city but they are very afraid to do so, she says.
