Regulars of the "Minimes-Théâtres Romains" funicular station have undoubtedly noticed for three weeks the disappearance of the statue of Neptune, which was usually at its exit.

The reason is simple: it disappeared, after being stolen, on the night of February 24 to 25.

As Le Progrès

reveals

, three friends aged 22 to 23 have been identified for this theft thanks to CCTV images.

It was 5:30 a.m. on February 25 when the band returned from a party.

Arrived at Place des Minimes, the Lyonnais took it into their heads to steal this beautiful replica of the bronze statue of the 2nd century discovered in 1859 in the bed of the Rhône in Lyon, and measuring all the same 1.43 m.

He admitted the facts, and directed the police to his two acolytes, who were also placed in police custody.

The three young people obviously returned the statue, therefore damaged, this Friday.

Unknown to the police, the trio was left free at the end of their police custody, with a summons in May to the House of Justice and Law of Lyon.
