The weather on Saturday: sun north of the Seine, mixed sky in the south

The sun will shine generously throughout the day on Saturday in Upper Normandy, Île de France and Hauts de France and as far as Lorraine.

On the rest of the northern half, after beautiful morning clearings, the sky will take charge in the afternoon, especially from Alsace to the Jura where showers may occur.

On the southern half of France, cloudy periods will be numerous in the morning but clearings will develop in the afternoon on the southwestern quarter.

Cloudy skies over the Pyrenees and Corsica

Over the Pyrenees and over Corsica the sky will remain very crowded with a little rain at times and snowfalls of 1,800 to 2,000 m.

From the Alps to the Massif Central, the many clouds are accompanied by showers, sometimes snowy from 1500 m on the Alpine massif.

The east to northeast sector wind will remain sensitive over the northern half of the country, reaching 50 to 60 km / h near the Channel coast.

As for the Autan wind, it will be back, blowing up to 60 to 70 km/h in gusts.

On the south of PACA and Corsica, the wind will also be quite strong, the gusts being able to reach 60 to 70 km / h on the Corsican capes, and near the Var coast.

At daybreak, the thermometer will show between 2 and 7 degrees over a good northern half of the country, between 6 and 10 in the south.

The maximum will generally be between 12 and 17 degrees, locally 18 or 19 in Provence.
