Presidential Transition Committee will hold a signboard ceremony at 10:30 am today in front of the Office of the Financial Research and Training Institute in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The transition committee is responsible for reviewing the current government's work status until May 9, the day before Yoon Seok-yeol's inauguration, and setting the policy foundation for the new government.

In the afternoon, the transition team visits two sites, the Gwanghwamun Government Complex Seoul Annex and the Yongsan Ministry of National Defense Office, which were selected as candidates for the relocation of the Blue House.

Earlier yesterday, President-elect Yoon, transition chairperson Ahn Cheol-soo, and transition committee member of the Planning and Coordination Division and Foreign Security Division held a meeting for about an hour and compressed the candidate site to be relocated to the Blue House to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense.

The Ministry of National Defense has emerged as a strong candidate, but it has also been pointed out that President-elect Yoon made the 'Gwanghwamun Era' as a pledge from the early days of the presidential election, and that there may be a vacuum in military readiness in the process of moving the Ministry of National Defense.

At yesterday's meeting, it was reported that there were mixed opinions about the relocation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of National Defense.

After discussion, we decided to make a final decision after visiting the site, considering that it is a matter to be decided by closely examining public opinion.

"It will not take long to make a decision after visiting the site," said Kim Eun-hye, a spokeswoman for the elected president.
