The Bay government said that the number of new coronavirus infections and severe cases in Bay has been on a downward trend in recent weeks, so it believes that it is suitable to relax the current epidemic prevention measures to restart economic, cultural and social activities.

  - Suspension of cultural, festivals, sports and religious activities;

  - Funerals are limited to 50 people;

  - Suspension of all unvaccinated public administration and private sector personnel from participating in various conferences (conferences, training courses, forums, seminars, etc.) held throughout the country;

  - A vaccination certificate is required to enter all public services;

  - Medical reimbursement requires the presentation of a vaccination certificate.

2. The remaining epidemic prevention measures include:

  - Mandatory wearing of masks on public transport;

  - Medical and auxiliary staff, pharmacists, paramedics and public health system administrators and private sector, pharmacy employees are required to be vaccinated;

  - Patient family members and caregivers must present vaccination certificates when entering the hospital.

3. In addition, the Government of Benin strongly recommends:

  - wearing masks in all public places, including in commercial places (shops, supermarkets, markets, etc.);

  - Frequent hand washing with soap or alcohol-based hand sanitizer in the workplace;

  - Vaccination of all eligible persons, especially public and private sector teaching and administrative staff, students, military and paramilitary personnel, motorcycle drivers, students over 12 years of age and parents of students.

4. The regulations for inbound and outbound passengers are as follows:

  All personnel entering Benin by land, air or sea must present a negative certificate of nucleic acid test within 5 days or a negative certificate of antibody test within 72 hours; personnel leaving the country must comply with the relevant requirements of the destination country.

  In support of the above measures, the Bay government recommends continuing efforts to achieve a high national vaccination rate by urging officials and leaders at all levels of the public and private sectors to be vaccinated and recommend vaccination to their staff to prevent severe COVID-19.
