China News Service, March 18 (Reporter Zhang Ni) On the 18th, Zeng Yixin, deputy director of the National Health Commission, introduced at the press conference of the State Council Information Office that there are 264 million people over the age of 60 in China, including 211.76 million elderly people. The whole course of the new coronavirus vaccine is vaccinated, which also means that there are still 52 million elderly people over 60 years old who have not completed the whole course of vaccination, and the largest proportion of them are those over 80 years old.

Only 50.7% of people over the age of 80 completed the entire vaccination, and only 19.7% completed the booster immunization, which is still relatively low.

Full-course vaccination and booster immunization are very meaningful and valuable for the elderly, especially for the elderly, so we must continue to increase our efforts to promote this work.

On March 18, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the strict control of the epidemic prevention and control work.
