Shortly after midnight, the police were alerted to the scene after an alarm about an explosion in an apartment building.

The explosion took place outside an apartment on the ground floor, and according to the police, it was a hand grenade.

Several windows must have been smashed in the bang.

- We are currently knocking on doors to find out what happened, says Ann-Christin Löfstrand, just after five o'clock on Friday morning.

No one injured

No person was injured in the blast and the case is currently classified as gross general destruction.

- The first alarms were just about a loud explosion, but then they heard the victims and told about windows that were broken in their apartment.

When the police get there, we can state that it is a hand grenade that has detonated outside the balcony of their apartment, which is located on the ground floor, says the police's spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.

Technical tracks

Technicians have found, among other things, the grips of the hand grenade, and thus have hope of being able to secure technical tracks.

Several people are written at the address.

- Even those who do not live there, says Thomas Fuxborg.

The two who were in the apartment during the night say they do not know of any threat, according to the police.

- But there is of course a motive that we should try to get, says Thomas Fuxborg.

Everyone who is written at the address must be heard about a possible motif image.

Door knocking is carried out in the area and the police are also investigating whether surveillance cameras in the area may have captured something that could be linked to the attack.
