It is understood that the project has a total installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts and a total investment of about 6.5 billion yuan. It introduces photovoltaic sand control and "desert soilization" ecological restoration technologies to systematically protect and restore desert, Gobi and desert areas.
Chang Jiaxing, deputy general manager of Huadian Xinjiang Power Generation Co., Ltd., said that after the project is completed, 2.5 billion kWh of green power will be added every year, 830,000 tons of standard coal will be saved, and 2.1 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced.
