A controversy between the White House and a journalist... Defensive or offensive weapons?

(Video)

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki got into an argument with a reporter over the type of weapons the United States sent to Ukraine.

Psaki was holding a press conference with White House correspondents, and then journalist John Decker began to ask his question by saying: "You published a list of all the weapons that were sent to Ukraine... Among these weapons we find: 100 grenade launchers, 5,000 rifles, 1,000 pistols, and 400 machine guns. Are you saying that these weapons are not offensive?"

According to "Sky News Arabia", Psaki avoided a direct response to the question, saying: "They are weapons that help the Ukrainian people to fight the invasion by a foreign country."

Decker returned to say, "They can be used aggressively, right?" Then Psaki tried to interrupt him, but the journalist added, "The answer is yes... although you don't want to say that."

And the White House official's answer was: "First of all, we are providing a range of weapons to Ukraine...there is a difference between planes and planes and huge military systems - I think anyone realizes that."

"What we're talking about is giving guns and pistols to many farmers and people who live in the countryside to defend themselves. I think there's a difference that most people realize... Thank you all and have a good day."
