Recent polls released on Tuesday place Emmanuel Macron at the top of voting intentions, ahead of Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour.

The outgoing President is credited with 30-31% of the vote, far ahead of the other candidates in the race for the Elysée, according to two polls conducted by Ipsos Sopra-Steria and Ifop-Fiducial.

Emmanuel Macron dominates the first round of the presidential election with 30% of voting intentions, ahead of Marine Le Pen (15.5%) who herself is ahead of Eric Zemmour (13%), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (11%) and Valérie Pécresse (11%), according to a new "rolling" poll published on Tuesday.

The environmental candidate Yannick Jadot has 6% of voting intentions, ahead of the communist Fabien Roussel (4%) and the socialist Anne Hidalgo (2.5%), according to this study "rolling" Ipsos Sopra-Steria for Le Parisien and franceInfo .

The mayor of Paris is given at the same level as the sovereignist Nicolas Dupont-Aignan and the iconoclastic candidate Jean Lassalle.

On the far left, NPA candidate Philippe Poutou is at 1.5% and Lutte Ouvrière candidate Nathalie Arthaud at 0.5%.

Thus, Emmanuel Macron should qualify for the second round of the presidential election.

Ipsos specifies that this survey was carried out from March 11 to 15 with a sample of 1,651 adults registered on the electoral lists, according to the quota method.

Margin of error, depending on the target score, from 0.7 to 2.4 points.

Another poll shows the voting intentions of French citizens.

LCI unveiled on Tuesday the figures of its Ifop-Fiducial survey carried out for LCI, "Paris Match" and Sud Radio.

Thus, Emmanuel Macron is credited with 31% of the voting intentions, Marine Le Pen with 18%, Éric Zemmour with 12.5%, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, 12% and Valérie Pécresse, 11%. 

Yannick Jadot is credited with 5%, Fabien Roussel with 4.5%, Anne Hidalgo, 2%, Jean Lassalle, 2%, Philippe Poutou, 1%, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, 1% and finally Nathalie Arthaud with 0%.

What is a scrolling poll?

This is a continuous survey carried out on the principle of a rolling accumulation of waves of daily surveys.

The Ifop-Fiducial survey was conducted among a sample of 1,505 people, representative of the population residing in metropolitan France aged 18 and over, according to the quota method.

The interviews were carried out by self-administered online questionnaire from March 8 to 11, 2022. The margin of error is between 1.4 and 3.1 points.
