Statistics indicate that children and young people in socio-economically vulnerable areas are more likely to suffer from diabetes, obesity and caries.

Therefore, the Stockholm Region now spends ten million kroner on pediatric care in these areas, through so-called social outcome contracts.

- We define the goals to be achieved, and then we let various organizations, companies and other actors come up with ideas on how we can work to achieve improvements in the health of children and young people.

They are then paid if they have achieved the goals, says Finance Regional Councilor Irene Svenonius (M).
