In response to this, Prime Minister Kishida has decided to suspend "most favored nation treatment" as an additional sanction against Russia, and will announce it on the 16th.



As a sanction to Russia, the Japanese government has already banned the export of semiconductors for the general public in addition to products using advanced technology.
