Pierre Zakrevsky, a cameraman for Fox News, was killed in Ukraine, after the car he was traveling in came under fire, the American network reported on its website.

Zakrevsky was covering with another Fox News journalist, Benjamin Hall, on Monday, when they were attacked near the capital, Kyiv, according to a video clip posted on the site.

Fox News Executive Director Susan Scott confirmed in a statement that Zakrevsky was killed and Hall wounded when the vehicle in which they were traveling was hit by gunfire in Hornica, near Kyiv, on Monday.

Hall, a British correspondent for the station for the Foreign Office, remains in a hospital in Ukraine, according to the statement.

"Pierre has been a war photographer who has covered almost all international news for Fox News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long history with us," said Susan Scott, adding that "his passion and talent for journalism is unparalleled."

Zakrevsky, who was based in London, has been working in Ukraine since last February.

And on Sunday, an American journalist was killed and another wounded in Erbin, one of the Kyiv neighborhoods that has witnessed fierce battles since the start of the Russian war on Ukraine.

Brent Rono, 50, a documentary video specialist, was working for "Time Studios" on a project related to refugee issues worldwide, according to the media outlet.

The International Association of Journalists said that the injured journalist is the American photographer Juan Arndondo.

And a Ukrainian was wounded, who was in the same car with the Americans, according to what a paramedic announced at the site where they were wounded.
