According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Serbia, on March 14, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia held a ceremony for the first issuance of Serbian driving licenses for Chinese citizens at the Vozdovac police station in Belgrade. , Valentina Vulich, Director of the Administrative Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, issued the certificate to the first Chinese applicant.

  In order to facilitate the travel of Chinese and Serbian personnel in each other's country and further promote economic and trade cooperation and personnel exchanges between the two countries, on May 27, 2021, Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Zhao Kezhi and Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Wulin signed the "People's Republic of China". Agreement between the Government and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the Mutual Recognition and Renewal of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses.

After both parties have completed their respective domestic approval procedures, the Agreement will come into effect on March 13, 2022.

  According to the "Agreement", China and Serbia recognize the valid driver's license issued by the other side, and one side allows the holders of the other country's driver's license to drive directly in its territory or to replace the driver's license without a test.

This will greatly facilitate the citizens of the two countries to work and live in the other country. It is of great significance to deepening the economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchanges and personnel exchanges between the two countries, as well as promoting police cooperation between the two countries.

  Serbia has become the first country in Central and Eastern Europe and the fourth country in the world to implement the Agreement on Mutual Recognition and Renewal of Driving Licenses with China.
