At least three reporters have been killed and more than 30 injured since Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine began, according to sources in Kyiv.

In addition to the American journalist Brent Renaud, two Ukrainian reporters were also killed by Russian shelling, Lyudmyla Denisova, the human rights commissioner of the Ukrainian parliament, wrote on Telegram on Tuesday.

Viktor Dudar was killed near the southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv, and cameraman Yevhen Sakun was killed in a rocket attack in Kyiv.

"The Russian occupiers are fighting against objective reporting of their war crimes in Ukraine, they are killing and shooting at journalists," Denisova claimed.

Foreign reporters were also targeted.

Several journalists were injured, including a Swiss and two Danes.

A crew from the British broadcaster Sky News filmed how they were shot at in Bucha, north-west of Kyiv.

Reporter Stuart Ramsey was injured.

Russia has deliberately destroyed or hit several television towers, including in Kyiv and near Rivne in northwestern Ukraine.

This is to make communication more difficult.
