Calls made to the Haute-Savoie departmental fire and rescue operational center (CODIS) increased overnight from Sunday to Monday.
In question, a dull and difficult to identify noise heard by the inhabitants of Annecy (Haute-Savoie) and the surrounding area a few minutes after midnight.

Securing by firefighters
Firefighters were therefore dispatched to the site.
They did not locate any sign of an explosion or any element that could explain the mysterious noise.
However, they found that the barriers protecting the place had fallen and made sure that the place was safe.
The next day, the cause of the explosion had still not been identified.
The inhabitants have exchanged various and varied hypotheses on social networks.
Among them, we find the setting off of a firecracker or fireworks, the explosion of a gas canister or the bursting of a tire.
