A pilot sentenced for on-board flights without a license in Savoie

A 62-year-old man appeared in Albertville Criminal Court on Friday.

This pilot from the Albertville flying club, in Tournon (Savoie), was prosecuted for having carried out on-board flights in violation of the rules of air navigation, reports

It would also have charged its passengers fares higher than the actual costs of the flights.

In addition, the sexagenarian provided the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) with a false declaration of the flight time required to obtain his license.

He was therefore no longer authorized to fly.

The man, who stopped driving, was finally sentenced to a criminal fine of 3,000 euros, including 2,000 euros suspended.
