A second student from the Frantz-Fanon General and Technological High School in Trinité (Martinique) was stabbed on Monday morning.
The facts took place around 9:45 a.m., after recess.
The victim was stabbed in the throat.
The author of the blows would be another student, reports La Première.
The suspect is another student at the school.
However, the exact circumstances that led to this attack are not yet known.
The high school student suspected of being the perpetrator of the violence was arrested by the gendarmerie and placed in police custody.
An investigation has been opened to shed light on the course of the tragedy.
The victim was taken care of by the Samu and then transported by helicopter to the Center Hospitalier Universitaire Pierre Zodba-Quitmane in Fort-de-France (Martinique).
The teenager is said to be in critical condition.
