The number of new COVID-19 cases in mainland China, which was around 100 at the beginning of this month, has risen to more than 3,000 as of the 12th.



This is the highest number since February 2020, when the first COVID-19 outbreak spread.



Following the lockdown in Changchun, a city of 9 million, Shenzhen, a city of 17 million, called China's 'tech hub', has also been shut down.
