A caregiver arrested Emmanuel Macron during his visit to a center for Ukrainian refugees in Maine-et-Loire on Tuesday.

This woman lamented that she could no longer practice her profession because she had not received her three doses of anti-Covid vaccines, calling on the President of the Republic to relax the health protocol in hospitals.

Traveling to Maine-et-Loire on Tuesday, Emmanuel Macron met Ukrainian refugees in a center in La Pommeraye.

The Head of State spoke with children who fled the war in Ukraine, accompanied by Brigitte Macron, Marlène Schiappa and Gérald Darmanin.

An appearance to which the media were invited.

And it turns out that the war in Ukraine is not the only subject that worries the French.

The coronavirus crisis is still raging.

During his walkabout, Emmanuel Macron was arrested by a caregiver.

The cameras and microphones pointed at him, the president exchanged with this unvaccinated woman who wishes to return to work in hospitals.

With a trembling voice, she confronted Emmanuel Macron on the vaccination obligation for caregivers: "My colleagues work with the Covid to treat people who have the Covid. How do you want it to work? I had the Covid, I I'm not vaccinated I didn't follow your guidelines But I'm fine I got the Delta I got the Omicron Sincerely let us get back to work that's all we have ask you."

Emmanuel Macron reaffirms his vaccination policy

Since March 14, the vaccine pass is no longer required... with a few exceptions.

It remains in force in health establishments, retirement homes, establishments welcoming fragile or disabled people.

And that should not change, one month before the first round of the presidential election: "We are not going to remove the vaccination obligation in the very short term, I am sincere", assured Emmanuel Macron.

"I tell you the truth. An epidemic against science is rarely won."

What the nursing aide invoked the 1918 flu pandemic: "The Spanish flu was not treated with the vaccine."

But also this loved one she lost following a thrombosis due, according to her, to the administration of the vaccine against the coronavirus.

"A friend lost his girlfriend after the vaccine," she pleaded with emotion.

"She had a thrombosis, she had a stroke and she died at 52. What do you say to that?"

To which the President of the Republic replied: "I do not know because I do not know the particular case of your friend. I am wary of the information which circulates everywhere and which we want to make a truth."

The caregiver once again implored the executive to relax the health protocol in force in hospitals: "Let us resume our work with antigen tests, sir."
