As North Korea's ICBM test launch disguised as a reconnaissance satellite development test is expected this week, the South Korean and American military have taken a hard line.

The US military scrambled fighter jets today (15th) and trained in the West Sea, and it was confirmed that the South Korean military conducts drills to precisely strike the origin of the attack by mobilizing land, sea, and air missiles throughout as soon as North Korea fires it.

This is the exclusive report by Kim Tae-hoon, a reporter specializing in defense.

When North Korea fired the Hwasong 15 ICBM at dawn on November 29, 2017, just six minutes later, the South Korean military's firepower, land, sea, and air blew out all at once.

The Army fired Hyunmoo-2 ballistic missiles, the Air Force fired Spice missiles from KF-16 fighters, and the Navy fired Haesong-2 missiles from Aegis ships.

It aimed at a target in the East Sea similar to the distance to Pyeongseong, South Pyongan Province, the origin of the ICBM launch.

It responded to North Korea's provocations with a joint preemptive strike exercise by land, sea, and air.

If North Korea test-fires an ICBM under the guise of developing a reconnaissance satellite during this week, the South Korean military plans to conduct joint precision strike drills with land, sea, and air again as in 2017.

A government source explained the purpose of the joint strike drill in a telephone conversation with SBS, saying, "It is to send a strong warning that North Korea is close to the red line."

It is known that more powerful missiles than in 2017 will be mobilized for this exercise, such as the new Hyunmoo and the Taurus that destroys even reinforced concrete underground bunkers.

The U.S. Indo-Pacific Command conducted a long-distance flight exercise today from the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in the Philippine Sea to the West Sea.

The exercise of US carrier aircraft in the West Sea itself is unusual, the Indo-Pacific Command said it was a training exercise to show determination and will to the alliance.

U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) today unveiled an exceptional drill for the deployment and redeployment of Patriot interceptor missiles of the 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, 8th Army.

USFK said in a press release that "we have increased the intensity of our training to show that we take North Korea's recent missile launch seriously."
