On Monday, the government presented a support package to compensate for the sharp price increases for fuel and an extended electricity price compensation in southern and central Sweden for March.

With regard to the fuel tax, the proposal is that it should be reduced temporarily by SEK 1.30 on diesel and petrol from 1 June to 31 October, and in addition a compensation of at least SEK 1,000 will be added to the private individuals who own a car.

The support will be SEK 1,500 for those who live in support areas 1, 2 and 3. In Värmland part it is about those who live in the following municipalities: Torsby, Arvika, Eda, Filipstad, Hagfors, Munkfors, Storfors, Sunne, Säffle and Årjäng.

We visited a gas station in Kil to hear the reactions to the reduced tax.
