The fourth peace talks between Ukraine and Russia have been temporarily suspended.

Mikhail Podolyak, the head of the Ukrainian negotiating group, said on Twitter on the 14th local time, "We have decided to suspend negotiations until tomorrow (15th) for further work by detailed group and to clarify the concept." will continue,” he said.

It seems that the 4th meeting was held for about two hours on that day.

Earlier, Podolyak posted on Twitter a picture of a videoconference with Russian officials, saying, "Negotiations have begun and both sides are explaining their specific positions."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensk also said in a video message released after the start of the fourth round of talks that "difficult negotiations are underway" and "all will be waiting for news."

The Russian and Ukrainian delegations sat down at the negotiating table on the 28th of last month and the 3rd and 7th of this month, but no results were obtained except for the evacuation of civilians through humanitarian channels.

Ukraine is demanding an immediate cessation of hostilities on the Russian side and the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Crimean and Donbas regions.

However, Russia is demanding the demilitarization of Ukraine, a stipulation that it does not join the alliance, and the recognition of the independence of the Donetsk People's Republic of Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republic, established by pro-Russian rebels in the Donbas region.

However, there are also observations that the difference between the two sides has narrowed somewhat in some matters, such as Ukraine's non-affiliation with NATO.
