Recently, the 20th batch of Chinese peacekeeping multi-functional engineer detachment to Lebanon accepted the first military capability assessment of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Command in 2022, and passed with a high standard of excellent grades.

The main purpose of the military capability assessment is to test whether the peacekeeping force has the ability to complete peacekeeping tasks and effectively deal with various emergencies.

Passing the UN military capability assessment means that the unit is fully capable of carrying out the tasks assigned by the UN.

It is understood that since the deployment of the 20th batch of Chinese peacekeeping multi-functional engineer units to the mission area, a total of more than 4,300 square meters of minefields have been cleared, 1,022 mines have been destroyed, 28 blue barrels have been maintained, and 6 construction tasks have been completed.
