Cannonballs fell on the streets of Kiiu, the capital of Ukraine, and only a bare skeleton of a building in the southern city of Mariupol, covered in smoke.

On the 19th day of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces continued their offensive in several major cities.

The fourth round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, which had been suspended since the 7th, was also held.

The two sides are expected to confirm each other's requirements in the two-hour video chat and resume negotiations tomorrow (16th).

[Mikhail Podolyak/Advisor to the Office of the President: Our position has not changed.

Only after peace, an immediate ceasefire, and the withdrawal of all Russian troops can we talk about neighbourhoods and political agreements.]

The first civilian evacuation begins in Mariupol, where water and electricity have been cut off after being surrounded by Russian forces on the 14th day .

That's it.

Mariupol city council said, "Only people with personal vehicles are allowed to use it, but it is a semi-official passage, so safety cannot be guaranteed."

More than 500 children were also evacuated in the northeastern area near the capital Kiiu.

According to the United Nations, 636 civilians have died so far, including 46 children, and the number of refugees has surpassed 2.8 million.

The UN estimates that the number of casualties is higher, citing delays in casualty verification in fighting cities.
