China News Service, March 14th. According to a comprehensive report by New Zealand's Tianwei.com, on March 12, Immigration New Zealand announced that the working holiday visa (WHS) is scheduled to reopen on March 14.

Immigration said the reopening of the WHS from March 14 will allow employers across the country to have more workers to hire, and the tourism industry will benefit from more tourists.

This is part of the second step of the New Zealand government to open up New Zealand.

It is reported that visa applications for the WHS will reopen in stages, with applications from countries with no cap (about three-quarters of all working holidaymakers) starting at 10am on March 14 (New Zealand time), and other countries will be staggered and divided. Batches are open.

The opening time for Chinese applicants is June 30, and the maximum number of places is 1,000.

Applicants from all countries will be able to resume applications until September 13.

Before the pandemic, about 50,000 working holidaymakers came to New Zealand each year.

About 19,500 people from overseas who previously held working holiday visas but were unable to use them due to border restrictions will be able to get new visas on March 13.

They need to travel to New Zealand within the next six months (before September 13, 2022).

These people will receive an email that they have been granted their new visas on March 14.
