Former US President Barack Obama announced that tests had confirmed that he was infected with the Corona virus (Covid-19) after the emergence of mild symptoms of the disease, stressing that he was in good condition.

And Obama wrote on Twitter - Sunday - "I just got a positive test result for COVID-19. My throat has been sore for a few days, but other than that I feel fine."

Noting that the test result of his wife, Michelle, was negative.

And the former Democratic president continued, "Michelle and I are grateful that we received the vaccine and that we received a booster dose," calling for the vaccine to be taken even as the number of infections decreased in the United States.

I just tested positive for COVID.

I've had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise.

Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative.

It's a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven't already, even as cases go down.
