A company fined 200,000 euros after the death of an intern

A construction company was heavily condemned by the court of Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) for "manslaughter", reports

on Friday.

The Urban Works Company will have to pay a fine of 200,000 euros after the accidental death of a 21-year-old trainee on a construction site.

On May 28, 2020, the young man had fallen five meters from a roof.

He died a few days later from his injuries.

The investigation showed that the engineer was alone at the time of the accident, although he had only been on training for four days.

A new hearing on civil interests for inexcusable fault is to be held on October 10 before the Nanterre court (Hauts-de-Seine).
