Russia bombed this Sunday, March 13, a military base in western Ukraine, in the Lviv region, less than thirty kilometers from the border with Poland.

In Warsaw, Polish President Andrzej Duda said he was convinced that Vladimir Putin was capable of anything, even using chemical weapons.

In a ten-minute interview with the BBC, he said the world hadn't seen such a situation since World War II.

If you ask me if Putin can use chemical weapons, I think he is capable of anything. He has already lost this war politically, and militarily he is not able to win 

it," said Polish President Andrzej. Duda in this BBC interview.

For him, if Russia uses weapons of mass destruction, it will change the situation.

Of course, NATO and its US-led leaders will have to sit around a table and think seriously 

" about their response, said the Polish president, " 

because the situation will become dangerous not only for the 'Europe but for the whole world

We rely on NATO 

Asked about the fears of the Poles about a potential invasion of Poland, Andrzej Duda said he was counting on NATO and he recalled these words of former President Lech Kaczynski after the invasion of Georgia in 2008: "

 Today it's Georgia, tomorrow it could be Ukraine then the Baltic States and one day it could be Poland

 ”.

In recent days, the visits of senior American officials, including Vice-President Kamala Harris, have succeeded in Warsaw, to reassure on the support of the United States.
