Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed that it attacked military facilities and training grounds in Ukraine yesterday (13th local time) and removed 180 foreign mercenaries.
Russian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Igor Konashenkov said in a briefing that precision smart weapons had attacked military facilities in the Starich region of Ukraine and the Yavoriu training ground.
"The attack killed about 180 foreign mercenaries and destroyed a large number of foreign weapons," said Konashenkov.
He added, "Weapons imported from abroad were stored at these facilities, and foreign mercenaries were being trained," he added.
Earlier, Ukrainian authorities said 35 people were killed and 134 injured in an airstrike on the International Peace and Security Center in Yavoriu.
