Alpine skiing: Odermatt in front after the 1st round of the Kranjska Gora giant, the Blues are far away

Odermatt beat the German Alexander Schmid by 22/100 and the Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, winner of the first giant on Saturday, by 30/100.

Odermatt, 2nd on Saturday, has secured the small globe of the specialty, and is heading towards victory in the general classification.

The Blues are far behind: Mathieu Faivre is 12th at 1 sec 06 and Alexis Pinturault 13th at 1 sec 11 after the passage of the 40 best skiers.

Round two is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
