Spaniard Kilian Jornet and his Austrian teammate Jakob Herrmann complete the podium for Jornet's return to the Pierra Menta after four years of absence.

Eydallin and Boscacci, world N.1, won them with a few minutes in advance after finishing third in the last stage on Saturday, won by the French Mathéo Jacquemoud and Samuel Equy (2 h 05 min), already victorious in the third stage on Friday and fourth overall.

The Italians completed the final stage, 19 km long (including 2,100 m of elevation gain) in 2 h 08 minutes for a total of 9 h 48 min, against 9 h 51 min for Gachet / Bon Mardion, for a clap of end which took place in spring conditions, between bright sunshine and mild temperatures.

Eydallin had already won the Pierra Menta four times (2009, 2014, 2015, 2017) and Boscacci twice (2018, 2021).

For the women, Axelle Gachet Mollaret, associated with her most serious rival in the World Cup Tove Alexandersson, flew over the entire competition.

The French, world N.3 and five-time world champion, and the Swede (world N.1) pocketed the four stage victories to clinch the final victory, with a considerable lead of 1 h 15 min over the Italians Katia Tomatis and Martina Valmassoi.
