Hundreds of comments flooded in - fuel prices worry Norrbotten residents

Many of those who have written in the chat are worried about not being able to cope with the economy when fuel prices have risen so sharply.

The question that many ask themselves is how they should be able to afford to go to and from work and believe that it hardly pays to work.

"Must sell the home"

Anna-Katrin writes:

“We have to sell our home and look for other housing in the city.

Commutes 120 km per day to and from work.

There are two of us who commute with our cars.

We can not afford to refuel.

There are no apartments to get hold of such a long queue.

The alternative is to stop working and start stamping.

The countryside is not alive. ”

PO Eriksson wonders if he has done his part in working life:

The "flag" wonders if he can afford to finish his education:

“I live at CSN and depend on the car to get me to and from school.

I live in the countryside and there is no collective that works for my schooling.

I have to drive 110 km round trip to school, soon I have to interrupt my education because it costs way too much! ”

Different conditions

The chat also tells us that leisure activities must be included for both children and adults because it costs too much to refuel.

An injustice between big cities and smaller towns is also highlighted.

“Should people in Norrbotten stop working and join the grant carousel?

We have no subway or other well-functioning public transport!

Sometimes you should look at what should be prioritized by the elected representatives! ”

There are also those who think that the high fuel prices are nothing to complain about - and "Mother Earth" puts it this way:

"I'm starting to feel hopeful and hope that it can lead to a change in the behavior of those who have not had a sustainable car ride before."
