In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the streets were buzzing with rumors about the health of President Félix Tshisekedi.
Belgian media such as La
Libre Afrique
announced that the Congolese president was in critical condition after having undergone an “
open heart
” operation.

To reassure the government as well as the population about his state of health, Felix Tshisekedi intervened, by surprise, Friday, March 11, from Brussels to the Council of Ministers to take stock of his stay in Belgium.
The president assures that he has not undergone any surgery.
