[Explanation] After the closing of the fifth session of the 13th National People's Congress on the morning of March 11, Premier Li Keqiang attended a press conference in the Golden Hall on the third floor of the Great Hall of the People and answered questions from Chinese and foreign reporters.

Premier Li Keqiang answered 13 questions in two and a half hours.

They responded to the economic development, the situation in Ukraine, cross-strait relations, and the improvement of people's livelihood that were concerned by Chinese and foreign journalists.

[Explanation] Talking about the expected economic growth rate of around 5.5%, Premier Li Keqiang said that the formulation of macro policies is based on the actual situation of China's national conditions, and stability at a high level means progress.

This year, the economy has indeed encountered new downward pressures and challenges, not to mention that various complex environments are changing and uncertainties are increasing, that is, we ourselves need to achieve the 5.5% target. An increase of 5.5% of GDP above the national level is equivalent to the economic aggregate of a medium-sized country.

Ten years ago, our total economic volume was still more than 50 trillion yuan, an increase of 10%, and an increment of 600000000000007000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000SqRn, and this year we have to have 9000000000000 nominal GDP increment.

It’s like climbing a mountain. If you want to climb a 1000-meter mountain and you want to climb 10%, then 100 meters is fine. If you want to climb a 3,000-meter mountain and want to climb 5%, that’s 150 meters.

[Commentary] Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Premier Li Keqiang said that we should do our best to support Russia and Ukraine in negotiating over difficulties and reach a peaceful outcome. All efforts that are conducive to the peaceful resolution of the crisis will be supported and encouraged.

China has always pursued an independent foreign policy of peace.

Regarding the situation in Ukraine, China maintains that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries should be respected, the purposes and principles of the UN Charter should be observed, and the legitimate security concerns of all countries should also be taken seriously.

Based on this, China makes its own judgment and is willing to play a positive role in returning to peace with the international community.

[Explanation] Regarding Sino-US relations, Premier Li Keqiang believes that Sino-US cooperation is beneficial to both countries and the world.

[Concurrent] Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council

Last year, the trade volume between the two countries exceeded 750 billion US dollars, an increase of nearly 30% over the previous year.

What does this mean?

The areas of Sino-US cooperation are broad and have great potential.

If the U.S. eases export restrictions on China, the bilateral trade volume will be even larger, benefiting both countries and peoples.

China is willing to work with the US to choose lenient ways and seek long-term benefits.

[Explanation] Talking about promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and the reunification of the motherland, Premier Li Keqiang said that the compatriots on both sides of the strait are one family after all, and the fraternal relationship will be cut off at any time.

We are willing to continue to share development opportunities with the majority of Taiwan compatriots, provide the same treatment to Taiwan compatriots who come to the mainland for development, and help them do practical work and solve difficult problems.

As long as compatriots on both sides of the strait work together and move forward in unity, we will surely be able to promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and share the well-being of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

[Explanation] In terms of improving people's livelihood, Premier Li Keqiang emphasized that to ensure basic people's livelihood, we must use both strength and heart, adhere to seeking truth from facts, let the facts speak, and listen to the voices and demands of the people.

Basic livelihood and daily life are closely linked. Now we have more than 100 million people who move across provinces. They are employed in different places, providing pensions, and going to school. They often have to run back and forth to do some things. .

We are going to implement a new policy this year, which is to digitize the commonly used ID cards, which means that you can do relevant matters by scanning the code with your mobile phone.

Of course, we also need to provide convenience for those who do not use smartphones, especially the elderly, and protect citizens' information security and privacy.

Recently, serious violations of women's rights have occurred in some places. We are not only saddened by the victims, but also very angry about this.

Those who ignore the rights and interests of the masses must be resolutely held accountable, and those criminal acts of abducting and trafficking in women and children must be severely cracked down and punished severely.
