The Swedish Migration Agency has calculated possible scenarios for how many refugees can apply to Sweden before the end of June.

According to the authority, 4,000 Ukrainian refugees are already coming to Sweden every day.

2700 seats

The municipalities in Västerbotten have now made a first inventory and can offer over 2700 places to the Swedish Migration Board.

- It's about everything from apartments, rooms, schools, nursing homes, campsites and dormitories, says Lars Lustig.

But it's just not about offering a roof over your head. It's also about fixtures beds and staff.

Can offer more seats

The municipalities of Västerbotten can also offer several thousand more places if the wave of refugees from Ukraine increases dramatically.

To date, just over 2.3 million have fled the war.

- Västerbotten is ready to receive Ukrainian refugees.

We are setting up, says Lars Lustig, county councilor.
