"Emirates Today" continues to review the problems of school transportation, which students' parents attribute to poor supervision of buses, and the tendency of school administrations to profit at the expense of the safety of their children, by cramming students from different academic levels on the bus, without taking into account the differences in age.
Parents also expressed their feelings of concern for their children after the frequent accidents of school transport buses during the recent period.
Members of the Federal National Council called for conducting psychological tests for school bus drivers, and organizing programs to qualify them to perform this task.
Companies working in the field of student transportation said that the responsibility for the safety of children does not lie with bus drivers alone, as the parents share the responsibility.
