Nine of the county's 12 municipalities have responded to the county administrative board's request about how many refugees they are currently prepared to receive from Ukraine.

These are apartments, vacant rooms and places at campsites and hostels.

The assignment comes from the Swedish Migration Board.

- We have received a request that we map the housing capacity in the municipalities.

That is what we are working on now and look forward to being able to assist with that type of overview, says County Councilor Anna Olofsson.

Askersund has five apartments available.

Degerfors, Hallsberg and Lindesberg all offer about 20 apartments each, where Hallsberg can also offer 11 rooms.

Needs time

In Degerfors, however, half of the apartments you can offer are not available immediately.

The same applies in Lindesberg, which needs one to three weeks before moving in.

Laxå has about 30 homes and also ten apartments in a private housing company.

Hällefors has 10 apartments, while Lekeberg can only offer "a few".

Kumla has 12 apartments available, in addition to 125 places for camping / hostels.

In addition, there are 28 other places ready within two months.

There are currently 500 places in Örebro, according to the municipality.

Karlskoga, Ljusnarsberg and Nora have not responded.

In the clip, the county council tells more about the ongoing survey.
