During the reception of His Highness Al-Burhan
Mohamed bin Zayed confirms the UAE's support for everything that is in the interest of the Sudanese people and achieves their aspirations
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, affirmed the UAE's support for all that is in the interest of the brotherly Sudanese people and achieves their aspirations for development, stability and prosperity.
This came when His Highness received today - at Al Shati Palace - Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in the sisterly Republic of Sudan.
His Highness stressed the importance of dialogue and understanding between the partners of the transitional period to overcome the challenges facing the political process and reach national consensus that leads the country to stability and unity and directs efforts towards construction and development.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan discussed the bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Sudan and ways of developing them in various fields, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
His Highness was briefed from the proof on the latest developments in the brotherly Sudan in light of the current conditions it is going through.
For his part, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan stressed the depth of the Emirati-Sudanese relations.. He thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the warm reception.. Expressing his appreciation for the UAE's support for his country during the transitional phase it is going through and in various circumstances.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs.
It was also attended by the delegation accompanying the President of the Sovereign Council in Sudan, which includes: Ali Al-Sadiq, the designated Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, the designated Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, and Lieutenant-General Ahmed Ibrahim Ali Mufaddal, Director of the General Intelligence Service.
