India's Ministry of Defense says Indian forces have accidentally launched missiles into Pakistan.

The Ministry of Defense of India expressed deep regret in a statement on the 11th local time, saying that a missile was fired incorrectly on the 9th and fell into the Pakistani area due to a technical malfunction in the course of routine maintenance.

He added that he also ordered an investigation into it.

Pakistan's military has previously demanded an explanation from India, claiming that a supersonic projectile from India has been dropped on its territory.

According to Major General Babar Iftikar of ISPR, the Pakistani military's public relations agency, at 6:43 p.m. on the evening of the 9th, the Pakistani military caught an object fired from Sirsa, Haryana state, into Pakistani territory.

The object fell in the Mian Channu district of Punjab after flying 124 km in 3 minutes and 44 seconds within Pakistani territory, damaging civilian facilities.

The object is said to have flown at a speed of Mach 3 from a height of 40,000 feet (about 12,190 m).
