Russia is not acknowledging the fact, but the number of civilian victims continues to rise in Ukraine.

The numbers are so great that there are even places where bodies are buried.

The ditch already contains the remains of other civilian victims.

The mass burial of the dead civilians began last Tuesday.

Ukrainian authorities say more than 1,200 civilians have been killed in the tenth day of indiscriminate shelling by Russian troops.

[Social worker: I just want this to end.

I don't know who's at fault or who's right, but I resent the people who caused this.]

In Mariupol, where a population of 430,000 people are staying, the number of casualties may increase as the Russian shelling prevents civilians from evacuating in a timely manner.

[Vlodimir Zelensky / President of Ukraine: Although we did our best to evacuate civilians through the humanitarian channel, the Russian army did not stop the attack.]

A large-scale advance of Russian armored forces was also detected.

Armored vehicles were lined up and relocated just 5 km northwest of the capital Kiiu, while Russian supply vehicles and rocket artillery were spotted moving 20 km northwest.

The Ukrainian army also counterfired with strong resistance, and street fighting resumed.

Russian troops trying to enter the Brovari region, the eastern entrance to the capital Kiiu, were hit by Ukrainian artillery fire and retreated.

However, as the Russian army is regrouping its troops around the capital Kiiu, it is expected that an additional invasion towards Kiiu could be carried out within a few days.
